Rose cut green aventurine stones set in sterling and fine silver are paired with hearts crafted from hawthorns. Nestled inside the hearts are small rosecut serpentines stones. The hawthorns are life cast from real thorns into sterling silver, then forged into curls, which are mirrored and paired to create the hearts. The ear wires are sterling silver as well. The length of the earrings is 2.25".
All cast thorns, twigs and other nature bits are collected near my home in Appalachia and cast in small batches in my home studio. These pieces of nature are immortalized in silver.
